Dr. Wendy Herlihy received her Doctor of Veterinary medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2013. She went on to complete a private practice internship at Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency and Rehabilitation Hospital. Following her internship, she became a staff doctor in the rehabilitation service and also went on to work as an emergency doctor at Colorado Veterinary Specialty Group in Littleton. She joined the Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital rehabilitation team in February of 2018. Wendy is a certified canine rehabilitation therapist and is also certified in veterinary medical acupuncture.
Dr. Herlihy’s special interests include rehabilitating neurologic patients, pain management and working dogs. She has a strong interest in regenerative therapies, acupuncture and manual therapy. Her focus on rehabilitation medicine began when she was a sled dog racer, but her passion now includes neurologic, orthopedic and geriatric patients.
