Donald A. Ostwald Jr., DVM, DABVP
Board-Certified in Canine and Feline Practice

A Colorado native, Dr. Ostwald was born and raised in Fort Morgan. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School and received a Boettcher Scholarship. Dr. Ostwald earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University. Following a one-year internship in West Los Angeles, he practiced in Anaheim, California for five years before returning to Colorado to join Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in 1992. In 1994 he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners certified in canine and feline medicine.

His areas of interest include dentistry, early wellness care and practice management.

Dr. Ostwald and his wife, Donna, live in Arvada with their two children, Alex and Paige. Their pets include a Jack Russell Terrier, Chip, and a Boykin Spaniel, Miss Scarlet. An avid fly fisherman, Dr. Ostwald also enjoys camping, skiing, golf and home improvement projects.
